Beginner beach volleyball for kids

Never played before? Perfect. These programs teach the basics on indoor sand in Pleasant Grove. No experience needed.

Who it's for: Kids ages 8 to 13 who have never played volleyball. No experience needed.
When: Mondays 4 to 5 PM, Mon, Nov 9 to Mon, Jan 4.
8 classes: Nov 9, 16, 23, 30, Dec 7, 14, 21 and Jan 4. No class Dec 28.
Price: All 8 classes$160
What's included: 8 coached classes with Coach Pomp and Coach Kayle
Passing, setting, serving and moving in the sand
Balls provided
Commitment: One 8-week session. Sign up once for all 8 classes.
What to bring: Athletic clothes, water, bare feet or sand socks.

Under 8?

Ages 4+

Kids are grouped by skill, not age. New players start in Waves and move up through Groms, Carvers, Rippers and Shredders as they improve.

The Novice Blueprint is 8 Wednesdays, Nov 4 to Dec 23, 6 to 7:30 PM, for $160. Built for adults who are brand new.

Does my kid need any experience?

No. The 8-week program and Waves practices are built for kids who have never played.

What should they wear?

Athletic clothes. They play barefoot or in sand socks. Bring water. We provide the balls.

Can they try one practice first?

Yes. Drop in for $35 at the Friday Beginner group through Nov 13, or at a Waves practice starting Dec 1.

Are indoor sand and outdoor beach the same?

Yes, it's the same sport. Our courts are indoors, so weather never cancels practice.

Can parents watch?

Yes. We have spectator areas.
